Interviews

The Duke MBA Admissions Office is happy to offer you an evaluative interview either during or outside of a scheduled open house. To schedule an interview outside of the open house schedule, please select the interview tab within the scheduling system to schedule your interview.

To schedule your interview in conjunction with an open house, be sure to select a time for your interview that will allow you to fully participate in the open house activities.

Scheduling Your Interview

We encourage you to schedule your interview at your earliest convenience as interview slots may fill quickly.  Please know that the interview is a required part of your application and that your application will not be considered complete without it.

So that we can plan for your interaction with us, the interview scheduling system will not allow you to schedule an interview less than four days in advance of your selected date. Once you have completed the online scheduling process, you will receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours. Please print this confirmation for your records. To schedule your interview, please use Duke's online scheduling system.

Please note that the online scheduling system is not connected to the online application and that you will need to create a unique account for each.

Optional Activities

The Duke MBA Office of Admissions is happy to offer visitors additional opportunities to complement your campus visit and meet your professional interests. During your visit, you have the opportunity to meet with a representative from Health Sector Management, the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship, and/or the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. All appointments must be scheduled in advance of your visit and you are strongly encouraged you to contact these offices at least two weeks prior to your arrival.

Health Sector Management

The Health Sector Management Office offers the opportunity for visitors to learn in greater detail about Duke’s Health Sector Management (HSM) concentration and the opportunity to meet with a HSM representative. If you would like to schedule an appointment on the day of your visit, please send an e-mail to Cindy Seymour and include the date of your visit and Duke Executive MBA program you plan to apply for. All appointments must be scheduled in advance of your visit and you must be a pre-qualified applicant.

Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship

If you would like to schedule an appointment on the day of your visit, please send an e-mail to Ruth Tolman and include the date of your visit and Duke Executive MBA program you plan to apply for. All appointments must be scheduled in advance of your visit. Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

If you would like to schedule an appointment on the day of your visit, please send an e-mail to Howie Rhee and include the date of your visit and Duke Executive MBA program you plan to apply for. All appointments must be scheduled in advance of your visit. Additional Activities for Health Sector Management

The Health Sector Management Office offers the opportunity for visitors to learn in greater detail about Duke’s Health Sector Management (HSM) concentration and an opportunity to attend a Health Sector Management Student Seminar. To learn about upcoming dates and to register, please send an e-mail to Cindy Seymour. Please note that this opportunity is only available for Executive MBA visitors.

Inclement Weather Policy

It is the policy of Duke University to maintain only essential services and operations during any severe weather or emergency condition. Should the University activate the severe weather policy, it is likely that the office of admissions will be closed or delayed in opening for business.

If you are scheduled for a campus interview and we are experiencing or anticipating inclement weather, please phone +1.919.660.7739 and a recorded message will update you on the status of our operating conditions. This line will be updated as appropriate. We will make every safe attempt to open for business, but most likely will have limited staff on hand to conduct interviews. We ask for your patience as we accommodate our visitors.

In the event that you cannot make it to campus because of inclement weather in the Durham area or your home city, please phone the inclement weather line and leave your name, contact information, and your affected campus visit and interview schedule. We will initiate contact with you within two business days and reschedule your interview or visit at a time that is convenient for you. Your rescheduled interview may be at an alternative date on campus or with a local alumnus in your area.
