How do I apply to a program?

Is there an application fee?
No. There is no fee for applying to Duke Executive Education programs.
What are the admissions requirements?
Requirements vary by program. Refer to the application pages for each program:
How long does it take to process my application?
You will be notified of your enrollment status within one week.
When will I receive information regarding the program schedule, pre-readings, and logistics?
This information will be sent to you by one of our program managers approximately 3-4 weeks before the program start date.
What will I receive upon completion of my program?
You will receive a certificate of completion signed by the Dean of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
Do any of the programs provide credit towards a degree?
No. Duke Executive Education offers non-degree, stand-alone programs focused on specific business topics. Participants receive a certificate signed by the Dean upon program completion.
Can I earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) towards my Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification?
Yes. Duke University's Fuqua School of Business is a PMI Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.). Therefore, PDUs may be earned for each of Duke Executive Education's open enrollment, non-degree programs under education category "A" of PMI's Continuing Education Requirements.
If I do not live in the United States, will I need a visa to attend Duke Executive Education programs?
Yes. The B1/B2 visa (for participation in scientific, educational, professional, or business conventions, conferences, or seminars) is the appropriate visa for entry into the United States from required countries. When applying for a visa, you should include the Duke Executive Education program admission letter with your visa application. It is important to emphasize that the visit is for business purposes. Visa requirements are subject to change, and you should refer to the US State Department, and learn more online about the visa process.
Payment and Cancellation
What is included in the program fee?
Tuition, instructional materials, accommodations, all meals and programmatic activities are included in the program fee. Airfare, transportation to and from the airport, and personal incidentals are not included.
When is payment due?
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice, and secures your space in the program.
What types of payment are accepted?
- Payment may be submitted by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express), wire transfer or check.
- Wire fees are the responsibility of the "Payer" and are in addition to the program fees.
- Checks should be made payable to "Duke University".
- Payment instructions can also be found on the invoice.
What is your cancellation policy?

Do you offer any program fee reductions?
Organizations sending 3 or more participants to a Duke Executive Education program are eligible to receive a program fee reduction. Duke Executive Education must approve the total number of candidates attending from any one organization. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Do you offer financial aid?
No. Financial assistance is not available for Duke Executive Education programs.
Travel and Logistics
What transportation is available to and from the airport?
Travel to the conference center is your responsibility. There are several options available for ground transportation from the airport: shuttle, van, limousine, taxi and rental car. For a more extensive list, visit the RDU website for additional transportation information.
How do I get around once I arrive?
Most amenities are available on campus or within walking distance. For longer trips, local taxi service is available.
Is parking available on campus?
Parking will be available at the conference center.
What should I wear to class?
- Business casual attire is appropriate for most program sessions. It is recommended that you bring a light jacket for use in the classroom as it is sometimes difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature for everyone.
- Comfortable clothing and footwear is also recommended for some program offerings featuring experiential exercises.
- There are numerous recreational facilities available for your use during your stay. Please bring appropriate gear if you would like to take advantage as time permits.
Can I bring my partner?
Due to the rigorous daily schedule, we do not recommend inviting family or friends to join you on campus.
Where is the nearest airport?
The closest airport, Raleigh-Durham International (RDU), is located approximately 15 miles from Durham, NC. When making travel arrangements, you should allow at least 25-30 minutes travel time between the airport and Duke University.
Do I receive a tuition reduction on future courses?
