There are 2 finance concentrations: Concentration in Finance (Corporate) and Concentration in Finance (Investment). To receive 1 of these concentrations, a student must take at least 6 electives that are beyond the required core courses and are from the set of electives specified for each concentration.

Coursework requirements for the Finance Concentrations (Corporate):
This concentration is designed for the following career paths: Corporate Finance, Venture Capital & Real Estate, and International Finance. Students should note that electives may have pre-requisite requirements. In addition, not all finance electives are offered each year.

Dual Finance Concentration Option
Students wishing to obtain a dual concentration in Finance are required to complete a total of 10 courses which are broken down as follows:
2 required courses for the 2 different Finance concentrations (FINANCE 646 and 647)
1 of the following (ACCOUNTG 592, 597 or 598)
1 of the following (DECISION 611, 613, 614 or MGRECON 781)
2 finance electives from the approved list of Corporate Finance elective courses
2 finance electives from the approved list of Investment Finance elective courses
2 additional finance electives from either the Corporate Finance or Investment Finance elective sets
FINANCE 661 and FINANCE 898 (Advanced Topics in Finance) may count toward either the corporate finance or investments category but not toward both.
