Foreign language resources available to Fuqua students include:
- Credit Language Courses
- Non-Credit Language Courses
Credit Language Courses
Language courses are available for credit at Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Fuqua students may take up to 4 approved language courses, and up to 2 of them may be undergraduate-level courses.
These courses follow the host school's schedule, and attendance is required, even when Fuqua classes may not be in session. The language courses must fit within your Fuqua class schedule for 2 consecutive terms.
First-year students are advised to only take classes at Fuqua due to scheduling concerns.
Enrollment
- Duke Courses: Students wishing to take language courses at Duke should complete and submit the Non-Fuqua Course Permission Form.
- Non-Duke Courses: Students wishing to take language courses outside of Duke should contact the Fuqua Registrars: registrar-info@fuqua.duke.edu for approval, and must submit the Inter-Institutional Approval Form.
Non-Credit Language Courses
Non-credit language courses are offered through Duke Continuing Studies. These classes meet in the evening for 8-10 weeks and are available for less than $200. Anyone may sign up for these classes online or by calling +1.919.684.6259.
