In Memory of Greg Dees

We are deeply saddened that our dear friend and colleague, Greg Dees, passed away in December. Greg was not only the co-founder of Fuqua's Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship, but also considered by many to be the father of social entrepreneurship education. He was instrumental in founding and developing social entrepreneurship as an academic field, and his impact in the field is clear through the many tributes to his life and work that have been made by friends, colleagues and former students. We are very grateful for the 422 donors who have stepped up to the Team Fuqua Annual Fund Challenge, getting us 44% to our goal of 950 donors of $1,000 or more. Finally, we are thrilled to have surpassed the $60M mark in Fuqua’s $100M goal in the Duke Forward campaign. Many thanks to our alumni and friends who have supported the school so generously!
