We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (November 20), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:
Lisa Abendroth PhD '00
I am an Associate Professor at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, where I am also the Faculty Director for the Evening MBA program. I continue to be involved in international business education by bringing MBA students to emerging markets in South America and India as well as researching strategies to successfully serve customers at the bottom of the economic pyramid. On campus, I am helping faculty transition their classes to a blended online/offline format in order to offer students greater flexibility in when, where, and how they learn.

I live in Evanston, IL, with my wife and fellow MBA classmate, Letitia (Pfeiffer) Mann. We have two children—Katherine who is 15 and Nathan who is 11. I am a founding partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Silver Oak Services Partners, a middle-market private equity firm that focuses on investments in business, consumer, and health care services businesses. Our whole family is planning on attending the 25th-year Fuqua reunion next spring, and Letitia and I hope to see a lot of our classmates there.

I'm currently living in Johannesburg, South Africa, working for Accenture with a focus on life sciences strategy. It's funny, I went on the South Africa GATE trip during spring break first year, right after going on a first date with a fellow first-year. Little did I know I would eventually marry her and move here!
Sean Lilly Wilson MBA '00, MPP '00
As the founder and owner of Durham-based Fullsteam Brewery, I'm heavily invested in the development and growth of the Bull City. Fullsteam launched in 2010 with a special focus on brewing "plow-to-pint" beers that celebrate the farm and food traditions of the South. Whenever you find yourself back in Durham, be sure to stop in and say hello!
