On Tuesday, November 11, Bloomberg Businessweek released its 2014 rankings, and Fuqua's Daytime MBA program claimed the top spot for the first time. The Fuqua community gathered for a celebration which included a visit and remarks from Duke men's basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski, who is also an Executive in Residence in the Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership and Ethics.
Dean Bill Boulding was interviewed by Bloomberg Businessweek immediately after the rankings were unveiled, speaking live from Dubai where he was attending a World Economic Forum summit, a regional advisory board meeting, and an alumni dinner. Dean Boulding was also interviewed by Poets and Quants, an MBA news and application web site, noting that the ranking was a vote of confidence in Fuqua's strategy of building collaborative leaders through our Team Fuqua culture. Dean Boulding vowed to continue to produce the "leaders who are thinking not just about their analytic abilities but to bring purpose in the way they operate, and how to lead in the [global] environment."
Since the announcement we've heard from Fuqua alumni across the globe, and spanning many class years and programs, who are enthusiastically proclaiming pride in their alma mater, a school that has always been #1 in their hearts and minds.
This historic moment would not have been possible without the dedication and support of everyone in our community, especially our amazing students and 19,000 dedicated alumni around the world. Please know how much we appreciate the time, talent, and financial support you have provided to bring us to this important point. We hope you'll continue and increase your investment in Fuqua as we seek to build on this important recognition.
