We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (September 17), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:
Eric Ayala MBA '11
After graduating Duke in 2011, I left San Francisco, CA, and moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil, as a partner in an early-stage venture capital fund. I now reside in Florianopolis, Brazil, and am the co-founder of Trips & Wires, where I focus on building technology companies for emerging markets. I remain an avid Duke basketball fan and am enjoying our newfound success in football.
Les Birenbaum MBA '83
I am still living in Glen Rock, NJ. Working as Syndication Manager for Hewlett-Packard Financial Services Company.
Tara Denton MBA '04
I've settled down in the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, TX, where I live with my two kids (a boy age 7 & girl age 5-1/2) and two cats (Pickle & Ruby). I spent 11 years with the same company that hired me out of Fuqua, but recently made the decision to move to HP -- still in marketing, now in a global role, focused on cloud technology and the channel. I absolutely loved reconnecting with my classmates last year for our 10-year reunion, and use Facebook and Tim Driessen's hilarious class notes emails to stay in touch until I can see everyone again in 2019!
Joe Dupriest MBA '04

My wife, Lin, and I are retired living happily in Fair Oaks, California. We are not consulting or working professionally. We are traveling and enjoying our three grandchildren. I am restoring classic cars, building furniture, and trying to build more projects than I likely can complete in my lifetime. However, I am enjoying the challenge, adventure and exploration.
