Happy Birthday!

We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (December 15), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:

Robert Barth MBA '93
Living in Raleigh, NC, celebrating my 11th year in a new management consulting career while my wife and I enjoy as much time as we can with our two daughters, who are away in college at Wake Forest University and UNC Chapel Hill.  In an interesting bit of serendipity, my youngest daughter attends UNC-CH and has a management accounting class next semester to be taught by the same management accounting professor I had at Fuqua!

Carolyn Bartholdson MBA '96
Greetings from New York where I am living and working. I am in the health care advertising industry now, and I love my job leading the Human Resources function at Omnicom Health Group. When I am not working, I keep busy running around Manhattan with my husband and three children, all of whom are avid Duke fans.

Keith Buschmann MBA '89
I have spent my career since graduation in consumer packaged goods brand management and marketing research, with companies such as Nestle, Pillsbury, and Campbell Soup.  After launching and running my own start-up for six years, I have most recently been Vice President of Marketing for Scott's Liquid Gold, Inc. I live in the Boulder, Colorado area with my wife, Sandra, and two tween daughters, where we try to squeeze in as much skiing, hiking, and biking as possible, along with performing in several community bands and volunteering at the kids' school.

Elizabeth Chambers MBA '91
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, still working for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Exploring the 17,000+ islands and surrounding regions through running events, bike rides, triathlons, and photo tours.

Alex Christian MBA '14
I graduated from the 2014 CCMBA class and live in San Francisco. Professionally, I drive better cross border money transfer customer experiences and new products @WU Digital Ventures. And aside from enjoying the Bay Area's local treasures during down time, I also enjoy poker and practice improv at BATS, a local theater.

George Ferguson MBA '13
I just returned this past weekend from a seven month deployment in Bahrain with the U.S. Navy. This weekend, I just received orders to return back to Bahrain and serve as the NSA Bahrain Operational Support Officer for the next two years. My wife and daughter will fortunately be able to accompany me as well. God is good!

Patrick Heffernan MBA '13
Since graduating from Duke, I've returned to my hometown of New York City to work at a real estate private equity firm called Admiral Capital Group. The role requires some travel nationwide, which has provided an opportunity to cross paths with fellow classmates, both planned and random airport / hotel run-ins!

Felipe Ospina MBA '05
Currently living in Miami, FL. I am a partner as well as responsible for Corporate Development & IT for Axesat, a satellite communications service provider serving multiple countries across Latin America.
