Happy Birthday!

We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (May 19), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:

Alfonso Chiong Li MBA '13
I am in Mexico City and continue working for Mead Johnson Nutrition, nourishing the world's children for the best start in life, now working in the medical sales team, responsible for the institutional sales to private and government hospitals.

Sergey Derevyannykh MBA '14
I am in Moscow, Russia, now, and I am going to travel to the U.S. with my family in the last two weeks of June. So, if some classmates happen to hike in the New Hampshire White Mountains at that time, please give me a call at 973-975-3709 for a localized reunion.

Katherine Kane MBA '12
I'm in New York, busy as ever working on the jewelry company I started while at Fuqua, http://www.k-kane.com! I'm so grateful for all the support I continue to receive from my classmates via referrals and sales. On that note - I've created a 15% coupon code for Fuqua - TEAMFUQUA15 :)

Mateusz Markiewicz MBA '99
I'm currently in Warsaw, Poland, working as CFO of Ruch S.A., a leading Polish retailer and press distributor owned by New York-based hedge fund Eton Park.

Jen Perkins MBA '15
I am working as an endocrinologist at Duke University where I am the vice chief for clinical affairs for my division and the medical director for access Services. I am also enjoying time with my family since graduating.

Hilka Schmitz MBA '03
I'm in London enjoying the ample opportunities and variety this city has to offer. Two years ago, I took an entrepreneurial plunge into the tech start-up world after nearly two decades building a career in the global banking industry.  I now use my expertise to manage both, my role as COO of the tech-start up and consulting a global banks' Risk Management.

Kevin Wardell MHA '76
Just retired from Norton Healthcare in January after 40+ years in health care executive management.  I'm very active in community activities, so I am the proverbial new retiree who asks "How did I have time to work?"  Still--there's more traveling and golf, and local grandchildren here in Louisville help keep Linda and me busy and happy.

Laurie Williams MBA '90
I am now a Professor and Associate Department Head in the computer science department at North Carolina State University.  I teach and research software engineering and software security.  I also consult in these areas, particularly in the areas of software security, agile/lean software development, and continuous deployment/online experimentation.
