Are you a marketing leader at a for-profit U.S. based company? If so, I hope you will sign up to participate in The CMO Survey. I have been running The CMO Survey since 2008 to collect and disseminate the opinions of top marketers in order to predict the future of markets, track marketing excellence, and improve the value of marketing in firms and in society (see https://cmosurvey.org/).

The survey examines marketing strategies, spending, and performance as well as critical leadership challenges facing marketing, including those arising from contemporary social and political demands. For example, we have focused on the impact of Covid-19 on marketing in the last year.

I use the results to write articles and host webinars which bring attention to the survey and to Fuqua, one of the survey sponsors. A recent webinar was a part of the Fuqua LinkedIn Live series and can be watched here. Your involvement would be helpful as we work to keep the survey an important source of marketing insights to the profession.  

If you are interested in supporting the survey, please complete this link https://cmosurvey.org/participate/ and we will send you the survey when it goes out this summer. If you do not qualify, please share with your colleagues. Of course, your responses will be held in confidence and will not be shared with any other parties, including survey sponsors. Only aggregate results are published in reports.

In return for participating, you will receive early copies of three reports, which you can review at https://cmosurvey.org/results/. One report cuts the findings by business sector, size, and percent of internet sales, which allows you to benchmark against companies similar to you.
