Please consider the following suggestions in order to make your graduation weekend experience as enjoyable as possible.
Immediately following the graduation ceremony, there will be a reception in the Fox Student Center at The Fuqua School of Business. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served. All graduates, family and guests are invited. Graduates may pick up their diplomas at this time.
What to Wear
Business casual or business formal dress is preferred. The weather in Durham can be warm in May (average temperatures are between 55° - 78° Fahrenheit and 12.8° - 25.6° Celsius). Please plan to dress appropriately for the weather, have good walking shoes, bring water, wear sun block (Sunday's ceremony is outdoors), pack an umbrella, etc.

Saturday Ceremony Weather Policy
The Saturday graduation events are all indoors so weather will not be a factor. Please plan to attend rain or shine.
Sunday Ceremony Weather Policy
For Sunday's event at Wallace Wade Stadium, the ceremony will continue in the event of rain. If weather conditions are threatening, the Graduation exercises will be canceled. If weather conditions are questionable on Sunday morning, you may call the Office of Special Events and University Ceremonies (919-660-1555) or the Bryan Center Information Desk (919-684-2323). Inclement weather decisions will be made and announced by 8:30 am on Sunday morning.
