"The relationships formed at Duke helped me effectively transition my career by connecting me to the right people, empowering me with a community willing to help me obtain my desired job, and providing me with unique extra-curricular opportunities that truly differentiated me in the applicant pool." — Beth Boomgard, MEM/MBA '11
Prospective students apply to each school independently, and most students apply to both schools concurrently. Early admission makes course planning for the three years easier and enables you to take advantage of the resources at both schools from the very beginning. It also simplifies tuition and financial aid, as the blended rate tuition can be applied to your account from the outset (see Costs & Financial Aid for more).
However, MEM, MF, or MBA students may also apply during their first year at Duke to be considered for a joint degree. All joint degree applicants should apply to Fuqua by Round 2.
Please make note of the Nicholas School's prerequisites. Also, the Nicholas School requires an English Proficiency Test for applicants whose native language is not English — review their application requirements for international students.
