Experience & Expertise: 

A proud Durham native, Scarlett has spent 18 years at Duke, including 14 as a key member of the CMC, and now serves as Assistant Director for Operations. She oversees a cross-functional team, manages office operations, and leads strategic projects and partnerships across campus and beyond. Scarlett combines deep institutional knowledge with trusted judgment and a steady, positive presence in support of students, employers, and colleagues. Before Duke, she spent 13 years owning and operating a successful cellular business, honing operational, client, and relationship-management expertise that informs her collaborative leadership style and commitment to empowering others.

• AS in Dental Hygiene, UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry
• American Red Cross - Emergency Response, CPR & Defibrillator Certification
• Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Fun Fact:

Scarlett is a legacy Duke employee, as both her parents retired after 25 years of service. She is an avid photographer and gardener, and delights in spending time with her musically talented family.
