Fuqua has been working through the implications of COVID-19 across all programs given the amount of disruption around the world.
The school has decided to shift the start date of some programs because of the combination of delays in visa processing along with appropriate social distancing practices. Leadership believes this will give as many students as possible the best chance to start programs in Durham as designed.
Each program is slightly different, but for the full-time, residential programs, the start dates will be pushed out by roughly a month. Start dates for online programs are not changing.
Fuqua’s graduation ceremonies will now occur a few weeks after Duke-wide ceremonies take place in early May 2021.
The new calendars for the impacted programs follow.
In many cases, program application deadlines are also being extended to allow more time to apply - given the new start dates.
Fuqua's admissions team has also developed resources to support individuals in the admissions process for each program.
Prospective Student Resources
Fuqua has been closely monitoring the trajectory of the pandemic with Duke medical officials. The school will hold to these start dates regardless of how the pandemic evolves.
Fuqua is prepared to start classes with a combination of some students online and others on-campus. The school is also prepared to start all students online in the unlikely event that public health restrictions prevent anyone from being on-campus.
