Shanghai: Team Fuqua
MBAA
As a part of our mission, the MBA Association (MBAA) works to enrich the student experience through leadership development programs, activities that support and enhance our "Team Fuqua" culture, and activities that strengthen The Duke MBA brand. The MBAA is also deeply committed to strengthening the Fuqua and greater Durham communities. This involves reaching out to our active alumni network, to our friends and supporters in Durham, and to the diverse business community in the Triangle area.
With over 40 active student clubs, the Duke MBAA is unique among its business school peers in the autonomy afforded this student-run organization as well as in the tremendous input that the MBAA provides to the staff and administration. It is our goal as students to maximize our education and experience at The Duke MBA.

Fuqua Partners
The majority of our students will be relocating to the Durham area for The Duke MBA program, and many bring with them spouses, partners, and families. We realize that such a move has a significant effect on those whom you bring with you. The Fuqua Partners network exists to welcome, support, and provide activities for partners and families in the Fuqua community. From relocation support to potluck dinners and book clubs, to running Fuqua's largest annual philanthropy event, the MBA Games auction, partners and families are an integral part of the school and the community.
Duke's Research Centers
Duke University's Fuqua School of Buisness has a number of research centers which focus on real world issues common to the business and academic communities. Through a collaboration between faculty and students, these centers link the practical needs of industry with theoretical research conducted at Fuqua. A key product of research center activities is new information. This information is channeled directly into the classroom in the form of cutting-edge research as it applies to real world problems.
The following research centers facilitate the cutting-edge curriculum:
- The Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics (COLE)
- Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE)
- Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI)
- Center for Energy, Development, and the Global Environment (EDGE)
- Health Sector Management (HSM)
