Bio

Mrs. Bykova is a senior executive with over 20 years of strategy and banking experience in private and public companies across diverse business environments in Russia, Ukraine, USA, and Central and Eastern Europe.

Prior to her current role with Credit Suisse, Mrs. Bykova was the founder of two Austrian companies, Maxima Solutions GmbH (a Global Family Office serving a number of wealthy families from Austria and CIS countries) and Maxima Invest GmbH (an investment company that holds Austrian Financial Market Authority license).

Marina moved to Austria in 2011 as a key person for Sberbank acquisition of Austrian Volksbank International. Later, she took a role as a Managing Director at Sberbank Europe, a holding company which manages Sberbank subsidiaries in 8 countries. As Director of Finance at Citigroup’s head office in New York, Marina was responsible for advising on Citigroup’s worldwide M&A activities and investment projects and for propagating group-wide financial best practices. In Russia, Marina was Citibank’s Chief Financial Officer for Russia & CIS, providing leadership through both the ‘97 crisis and the explosive growth of recent years. Prior to working at Citigroup, Marina led finance departments in Russian banks. She began her career at the Supervision Department of the Central Bank of Russia and has published two books on finance in Russia. Marina holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and two M.A.s in Economics and Finance from Russian universities.
