Alumni Perspective

"Deere is thoughtful in selecting employees to attend executive MBA programs based on their leadership and advancement potential within the company. These future leaders would benefit from a program of Duke's Global Executive MBA caliber."

Additional Information

Because you must balance work and school, Fuqua requires that you receive a letter of support from your employer (proprietors or principals of a company can provide a letter of self-sponsorship). This section will help you start the process and show you sample requests from other students along with tips you can use to strengthen your position.

It is in your best interest to start the sponsorship process before the application. We have found that some employers provide full or partial financial support, while others only provide support for work absences.

With Fuqua's Global Executive MBA program, at a minimum, employers must approve your work absences for the time you are in residency. When seeking sponsorship, it might also be a good time to discuss workload expectations with your boss as your school workload will be significant. Financial support from your employer is NOT a requirement for acceptance to the program.
