The Career Management Center
Fuqua’s difference comes from our Career Management Center (CMC), dedicated professionals with industry and functional expertise who help you develop your career advancement strategy. Our team collaborates with students as well as executive recruiters and potential employers.
Career Coaches provide 1:1 coaching, in-person or virtually, to support your needs. Fuqua's coaches help you navigate all aspects of your career, from program launch to beyond graduation.
Sector Directors and their teams are focused in specific industries. They organize virtual and small-group discussions with students and employers in that sector, helping you understand trends and hone your career strategy.
Recruiting Services staff support the CMC and its stakeholders with effective business operations and technology. The recruiting team executes on-campus recruiting activities like corporate presentations, networking nights, career expos, and interview forums.
Student and Alumni Services staff provide additional individual coaching, workshops, and other programs for current students and graduates.
Career outcomes demonstrate our commitment to identifying and supporting future leaders, and we conduct research to understand how our programs impact graduates’ careers.

Our coaches help you address any career issue you may be having. They will work with you to define your personal career objectives, develop a strategy, and gain tools that will serve you now and throughout your career. You’ll get coaching on the skills needed to advance within your current company, or help mapping out an effective transition.
The process is optional and confidential. You can work with your coach in-person on campus and virtually. Our coaches have sector-specific experience and are assigned based on your background and goals.
If you’re pursuing a career transition, your resume is eligible for inclusion in Fuqua’s Executive MBA Resume Database, searchable by recruiters and employers. Our corporate relations team connects recruiters with Fuqua students through on-campus events, interviews, and job postings. On-campus recruiting events in the second Fall of your program allow you to connect with alumni and recruiters and may include corporate presentations, networking nights, career expos, office hours, and other opportunities.
As you advance in your career, you’ll want to understand the world of executive search. We offer panel discussions with professionals in executive recruitment, events that often include networking receptions. You'll gain exposure to different firms and recruiters and begin to understand how they might help you achieve your professional goals.
Well-established Fuqua alumni also often join your program in panels that help you understand their industries and roles, as well as how they've personally navigated their careers. Given they’ve been exactly in your shoes, alumni panels are typically engaging and insightful.
You have the opportunity to participate in a number of workshops and other career management activities throughout your program. These events are customized to meet the unique needs of your class. They will be conducted during residencies or will be recorded and made available on your learning platform.
Making a Career Transition
Multiple sessions cover the best strategies, tools, and tactics for successfully advancing, shifting, or completely changing your career. We’ll cover topics like self-assessment, prioritizing your search, effective outreach and exploration, and self-promotion.
Career Symposiums & Career Intensives
These panel discussions convene alumni and company representatives to highlight a broad spectrum of careers.
These virtual or small-group discussions with CMC staff and Fuqua alumni provide perspectives on MBA functions and industries, such as consulting, finance, marketing, social impact/nonprofit, general management, energy, high tech, and health care.
Complementing the personal assistance you’ll receive from your coach and CMC team, additional resources are available wherever you live and work.
