Randy Zeno is a proven senior executive in the consumer products industry at both public and private equity companies ranging in size from 20M–1B+ USD. Currently, Randy serves as President and CEO of Urban Therapy, makers of Twisted Sista, a salon-inspired hair care brand from London. Wexford Capital Partners acquired Urban Therapy in 2014. Under Randy’s leadership, the company is undertaking a major growth initiative in the global multicultural hair care market. Previously, Randy was CEO of DRM Holdings, makers of Dr. Miracle’s—also a hair care company—and a Catterton Partners portfolio company. Randy swiftly developed and executed a turnaround plan. In 2013, Dr. Miracle’s was successfully merged with Dallas-based Johnson Products.
Over a span of 30 years, Randy has held increasingly visible leadership and executive positions within leading private equity held companies of Rank Group (Reynolds Consumer Products), Vestar Capital Partners (Birds Eye Foods) and C. Dean Metropoulos Group/Hicks, Muse and Tate (International Home Foods). His roots in consumer products began early in his career with organizations such as Nabisco, Sara Lee, Cadbury-Schweppes, and Kraft General Foods. Randy holds both a BA and an MBA from Duke University.
In addition to serving on The Fuqua School of Business’s Minority Alumni Advisory Board, Randy is also a Director for Strive International. Previous director roles include Glory Foods/McCall Farms, a consumer products foods company; Junior Achievement Fairfield County; and Garth Fagan Dance Company. Randy is the father of two children: Erica (Duke University ’15) and Michael, who attends St. John’s University.
