Global Executive MBA Student Anna Sinclair
“I have improved my critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills and gained better insight into economic factors impacting corporations today. Most importantly, I have boosted my confidence, and it’s enabled me to thrive at work. As a Latina woman working in IT, it can be challenging, and lack of confidence can hinder one’s ability to succeed.”

Reflections

The Global Executive MBA program has changed my life. Fuqua’s highly interactive and integrated curriculum has helped me become a well-rounded leader. In addition to gaining business knowledge and skills, I learned how to problem-solve. The curriculum has broadened my perspective and helped me look at problems through different lenses. It has given me the confidence to be successful and to be comfortable being uncomfortable. I've learned to push out of my comfort zone and to be ok with not having an answer to every question I am asked.

Before Fuqua

I worked as a customer-facing project manager at SAP, helping companies migrate their enterprise resource planning software from on-premise to the cloud.

After Fuqua

I joined the leadership team for the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) line of business. I am now working on cross-board area initiatives and projects to explore new growth areas and markets for SAP’s cloud business.

Advice

We all have different ways of making life work for our families while making the best out of the program. Communicating with your partner and team members in your cohort is crucial. For me, defining a consistent routine and setting limits was key. I became intentional about my time, and I learned to say no to certain commitments early on. There are times when it is extremely challenging to strike a proper balance. This is when you need to step back, look at the bigger picture, and prioritize accordingly.
