I chose to get an MBA because I value formal learning, and I felt that I could fill some of my personal gaps by studying with individuals from around the world and from different sectors. That is exactly what I got from the Global Executive MBA program along with much more. I have been able to apply learnings throughout the program to my day-to-day work, and I have witnessed a change in how I approach business problems and strategic initiatives.
I have grown my career in HR at Eli Lilly & Company. I previously worked in the benefits area on our health plan team as an employee relations associate and an HR business partner supporting our diabetes and oncology business units.
I plan to continue my growth within HR at Eli Lilly as I support our business in discovering, developing, and commercializing breakthrough outcomes for our patients.
My partner and I went into this experience with eyes wide open. We knew that it would be difficult for him and me to find quality time together and to continue building upon the strong relationship base that we had established. We reserved time and space for our relationship outside of our careers and my schoolwork to ensure we didn’t lose that momentum as a partnership. I also made sure I was on top of my school work and shared when and how I would be available to my teams.
