Reflections

When I first started the program, I doubted my leadership skills. I had been taught to believe that the leaders who advanced within a company were those who were overly charismatic and extroverted, and I did not see those attributes in myself. Through the program, though, I came to understand leadership in its true form and was provided with the tools to draw out the skills I did not realize I already had. As a leader, I believe that I have been transformed the most by the examples set by my classmates. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from such intelligent individuals.

Before Fuqua

I oversaw marketing at Moog Music Inc., a music company that manufactures iconic synthesizers used by well-known artists such as Dr. Dre and Hans Zimmer. My responsibilities were leading branding for the company and marketing strategy for the company's annual music and technology festival, Moogfest.

After Fuqua

I started Juniper & Berkeley, a sports management company that represents professional female athletes across a range of sports. Fuqua gave me the confidence to start my own business and leap into a new industry—sports. I plan to continue building my company and fiercely fight to shift the way professional female athletes are valued.
