Reflections

I believe the Health Sector Management certificate is a must for anyone contemplating a future in health care. This program is truly world-class all-around – from the highly reputable and teaching-oriented faculty to the strong collaborations with the renowned Duke-Margolis Health Policy Center and proximity to a leading health care organization in Duke Health. The added bonus was a diverse and highly accomplished cohort that I learned from daily.

Before Fuqua

I’ve been in medicine for more than 25 years. I am currently the Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Executive Co-Director of the Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center at Duke Children’s Hospital, part of the Duke Health system.

After Fuqua

I’m looking forward to leading Duke’s world-class Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center as we transition into a financial service line. This transition will be key to enhance our clinical, research, and educational missions as we strive to become the best pediatric heart program in the nation.
