“My cohort peers range from leaders in the medical device industry to oncologists working in the top cancer institutes in the US. The diversity of experience, skills, and backgrounds enhances the dialogue during our lectures. I have found that I learn as much from my peers as I do from the course content.”

Reflections
I’ve been working for the Military Health Care System (MHS) for 15 years. Although I’ve worked in many positions in the MHS and have gained a wealth of professional experience, I joined this program to expand my insight and understanding of how the civilian sector operates.
I am the Senior Health Systems Analyst for the Defense Health Agency Data Quality Management Control Program. I deliver insight to the timeliness, completion, and accuracy of health care data to Military Health System leaders and stakeholders. I lead a team developing solutions to improve data quality controls for 200+ medical treatment facilities globally.
Once I complete the MSQM: HA program, I plan to apply the principles I’ve learned to enhance and improve data quality in the MHS. Long term, I plan to move into executive leadership roles to improve data quality through developing policy and data transparency.
The Benefits of an Online Degree
If this program were not online, I wouldn’t have the time in my schedule to learn from these courses, collaborate with world class peers, and grow my network in the way that this program has allowed me to. It is the best work/life/school balance that I could imagine.
