"There have been countless times where I’ve learned something incredible about one of my classmates that I would’ve never known because of the humility and lack of ego across the cohort. This has left a profound impact on me and speaks to the quality of people enrolled in the program."

Reflections
I wanted to be surrounded by successful individuals who prioritize humility and decency. I knew I would find that at Fuqua because of the program's tenets of of IQ, EQ, and DQ. I've been joined in this cohort by individuals who are more than classmates - they are friends and career models who have set a high standard for success, selfless leadership, and character.
I started my role as an investment banking associate one month before starting the WEMBA program. In my role, I perform financial (including valuation) analyses and industry/market research, prepare marketing materials for M&A processes, and aid due diligence efforts with sell-side and buy-side M&A clients.
I plan to continue working in investment banking. I believe the MBA curriculum has provided me with a well-rounded education that will allow me to be a more effective advisor to clients in the future.
5 Tips for Working in Teams
- Be empathetic—everyone not only has school obligations, but work obligations, family obligations, etc.
- Be invested in your teammates’ successes inside and outside the classroom.
- Always be willing to teach your teammates or have the humility to ask your teammates for help. You are all in this together.
- Overcommunicate and plan ahead.
- Your teammates all come from different backgrounds and careers—they can be wonderful resources as you think about your post-grad career.
