“I had a very diverse team with members from Thailand, China, the United Arab Emirates, and South Korea. Getting to learn about each of their cultures and backgrounds was truly eye-opening for me and taught me a lot that I otherwise wouldn’t have known.”

Why I Chose Fuqua

I felt that the MMS: Foundations of Business program would prepare and equip me with a foundation of skills to take into any endeavor I choose to go into. I loved the diverse student body and was eager to learn through the group-based curriculum. I also really liked the team mentality that seemed to be permeating throughout the building. Everyone was eager to help one another learn and bring out the best in each other. Coming from the team-oriented background of Duke Football, the transition to Fuqua’s community was seamless.

Before Fuqua

I interned at JP Morgan, within credit sales and trading, and with a boutique real estate development company, Austin Lawrence Partners.

After Fuqua

I plan to either pursue a career in finance, working in credit sales and trading, or brand strategy at a company like ESPN or Nike.

What I Love About Fuqua

One of the defining features of Fuqua is the team mentality and collaborative culture. It can be stressful at times, especially when the job search begins, but your team members become like family and are people you can lean on in times of need. This also extends to the alumni network as alums are always happy to speak with you and help you in any way they can.
