I was drawn to Fuqua for the chance to learn from world-class faculty at a well-renowned business school. I want to pursue a career in sports marketing, but I realized I didn’t have the hard skills necessary to succeed in the business world. The MMS program seemed like a perfect way to fill that gap. I was also drawn to the collaborative aspect of Fuqua because I felt like it best simulates the real world and would allow me to learn the most from my peers.
At Cornell, I ran cross country and track and interned as a strength and conditioning coach. Having this experience helped me realize my passion for athletics, as well as working with people and helping them achieve their goals. Currently, I’m working part-time with Blue Devil IMG Sports Marketing.
I want to blend my passion for athletics and people by going into sports marketing. I hope to gain experience in the industry by working at a sports agency.
Few can command the attention of a class and make their points stick as Professor Mark Brown can. His business communication lectures are a live example of the content on public speaking he is delivering and he makes every session engaging. I also appreciate how he doesn’t shy away from giving you honest feedback and genuinely wants you to grow as a person.
