“In our first team meetings, my teammates and I set a few principles that we all agreed to follow, including to be on time, to come prepared, and to voice disagreements. These principles ensured everyone was able to contribute and maximized our efficiency. My team members were smart and cooperative, and I had so much fun working on projects because of them.”

Why I Chose Fuqua

I went to a small liberal arts college where everyone knew each other, so I really appreciate how a supportive community makes each individual in that community stronger and better. While applying for graduate schools, I looked for a program that would provide a similar experience. Fuqua drew my attention with its emphasis on team-based coursework, its team bonding event offerings, and the Fox Center, an open space that encourages people to chat and get to know each other.

Before Fuqua

I held internships in a range of industries, from scientific research, to corporate banking, to management consulting. This varied experience helped me realize what I truly want to do, which led me to pursue my MMS degree.

After Fuqua

I will be working as a business analyst at Capital One, analyzing data and conducting due diligence to gain insights and make recommendations for my company. I feel prepared for this role because of the skills I learned at Fuqua, from statistical techniques to strategic principles.

5 Random Things About Me

  1. I was a synchronized swimmer in college. Water relaxes my mind and my body.
  2. I founded a postcard club in college because I think postcards are an old-fashioned but effective tool to connect people. Each hand-written word on a postcard contains warmth and caring.
  3. I am a good cook (most chemistry majors are). I even thought about going to culinary school.
  4. I first learned about the school when a friend shared materials Fuqua’s Consulting Club provides to help students prep for recruiting, and after talking with a current student I decided it was the right place for me.
  5. My favorite spot at Fuqua is the Kirby Reading Room. With floor-to-ceiling windows, Kirby is the perfect place to relax and simply watch the changes in sunlight throughout the day.
