This is our son's first election day at the polling place here in Richmond, VA. I co-founded a fintech lending platform called Thrive Financial a bit more than a year ago and we just launched in early October.  It's been a lot of work to get to the starting line!

Denise Carson MBA ‘89

I am in my 13th year on the development team at Fuqua. It is such a pleasure to meet with our alumni across the country.  I’m still in Raleigh, NC after 30 + years and have downsized into a new townhome. Both boys are married and I now have a beautiful granddaughter, Eliza who is 2 ½. This is a photo of me hanging with a 100-year-old eucalyptus tree in the Christchurch NZ Botanical Gardens in April 2024. NZ is truly a bucket list trip!

Eva Zhihua Lin MMS ’16

After graduating from Fuqua in 2016, I moved to New York, San Francisco, Luxembourg and then San Jose. My husband and I have been enjoying Duke community by attending volunteering events and Fuqua events (tech trek, reunion, game nights, etc). I currently work in payments strategy at Adobe in San Jose office and please feel free to grab a cup of coffee with me anytime.

Jacob McDowell MMS '22

After graduating from Fuqua in 2022, I moved back home to Birmingham, AL where I am currently working for KPMG. I am excited about celebrating my first wedding anniversary with my wife this December. This is us on our honeymoon to Paris this summer for the Olympics!

Karen Miranda WEMBA '00

We've been living in the Atlanta area since 2021. We recently participated in the election process with our first time voting daughter, who is deep into the college application process at this time.  I am preparing for retirement within the next few months.

Jonathan Moody MMS ‘11

Since graduating from Fuqua in 2011, I've been residing in Randleman, NC, where I serve as the Vice President of Holiday Tours. Over the past decade, we've proudly covered 28 million miles, catering to hundreds of thousands of clients, including various programs at Fuqua that depend on our transportation services. Recently, I had the pleasure of going on a memorable cruise to Alaska with my wife, Carmen, and our one-year-old son, Elliott.

Julian Rimmer GEMBA ’10

Kate, Charlotte, and I are just north Chicago, living life to the full. Charlotte is in High School, recently achieved "Open Championship” level in Irish dance on Fathers day, very proud. Kate has returned to her first love of art, recently completing two very successful local shows. I am at Abbvie, looking after the tech for data capture and analysis, and have just joined the Board of Josselyn, a local NFP promoting "Mental health for All”. Life is Great, go and live it!

After graduating from Fuqua, I worked at General Motors for a bit, and then moved to Tysons, VA to work for Capital One. I love this area and spend my time enjoying the museums, history, and all the fun cultural stuff DC has as well as travelling the world! Go Blue Devils!
