"Diversity was one of the main reasons I pursued an MBA. The real value of this experience comes from being surrounded by people who are wildly different from you—people with unique life experiences and perspectives. That kind of environment challenges you to grow, both as a leader and as a person. Fuqua is full of diverse individuals, and it’s made my MBA experience incredibly enriching."

Why I Chose Fuqua
When choosing an MBA program, I wanted to be intentional. I thought deeply about what I valued from my time in the Marine Corps and undergrad—what I loved and what I didn’t. Ultimately, I realized I was looking for a place that fostered a community of humble excellence: people with high potential and intellectual curiosity who were also down to earth. Once I defined that as my guiding pillar, Fuqua became a clear choice.
Before Fuqua
Before Fuqua, I spent five years as an active-duty U.S. Marine. After completing my military service, I transitioned into the sustainability and energy sectors.
After Fuqua
After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in health care consulting. I’m drawn to the flexibility of the consulting world—the exposure to different business lines and challenges. On top of that, I love knowing I’ll be making a meaningful impact through the health care industry. That combination made health care consulting a natural fit for me.

Room to Try, Space to Grow
In business school, I set out to explore—both personally and professionally. I wanted to reconnect with old hobbies and dive into completely new ones, while also stepping into industries I’d never experienced before. This year, I’ve spent time cooking, picked up golf, and even started collecting comic books. On the professional side, I’ve taken classes in social stewardship and decision models. What’s amazing about Fuqua is the freedom to explore without the fear of failure. Failure is possible, of course—but here, it doesn’t feel like a threat. I’ve used this time to discover corners I hadn’t even considered before, and I’m loving the journey.
