Bio
Kevin D. Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Accounting Area. His research interests include disclosure and financial reporting, corporate governance, and corporate bankruptcy & restructuring. His research in corporate bankruptcy has provided some of the first evidence on how the disclosure of economic interests by creditors affects bankruptcy outcomes. His work in corporate governance has examined issues such as board composition, shareholder voting, board committees, and executive compensation. Kevin obtained his BA in Economics and Mathematics (summa cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and his PhD in Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2022.
