We asked the alumni below celebrating a birthday today, December 19, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...

Hugh Allen MBA ‘89

I am at TD Bank, serving as the Southern Division Head for our Commercial Real Estate lending platform. I'm based in Charlotte with management responsibilities from Maryland to Florida.

Juan Pablo Arias MBA ‘10

I recently became a dad of a beautiful boy called Felipe, I have been married to my wife Ana for four years, and I am currently working at J.P. Morgan. I continue to live in Mexico City, where I have lived since graduation. If you haven't been here, you have to come. It’s a fantastic long weekend destination, and among other things, it's a foodie paradise. I will be happy to provide some recommendations.

Tim Christie MBA ‘02

We moved to Atlanta in 2009, and I have been working for my own consulting firm, CorpDev Consulting, for the last four years. I specialize in the nexus of M&A and strategy, particularly in the financial services space. I'll celebrate my 20-year anniversary with Gizelle this year, and we have one son, Warren (10).

Dan Dressel MBA ‘91

After Fuqua, I worked for NCR in finance and marketing. I then worked for Accenture in IT program management for about 25 years, and I now own a UPS Store in Columbus, OH. I have 3 grown daughters, the youngest of which is an avid Duke basketball fan. Go Blue Devils!

Michele Driscoll MBA ‘95

I'm living in the Boston suburbs with my husband, Terence, and our two children, Caitlin (13) and Patrick (12). We enjoy the occasional date night, but the kids also keep us busy with school and sports. We spend lots of time as a family on soccer fields both near and far! I'm also enjoying my career at CVS Health where I'm serving as Vice President, Customer Engagement, Loyalty, Digital, and Promotions. My work focus is in the retail business, leading business strategy for ExtraCare, CVS.com, and the CVS Pharmacy weekly circular.

Gregg Horvat MBA ‘07

I'm currently living in Charlotte, NC with my wife, Laura, and I work at a company called Red Ventures. Red Ventures is a private company with ~3,200 employees that was founded in Charlotte in 2004 and is a portfolio of digital companies that spans a breadth of industries. I have been at the company since 2015, and I am currently the GM of one of the industry verticals within the company. I'm happy to connect with any alumni that are interested in learning more about the company.

Mel Lager MBA ‘04

I am living on Lake Palestine near Tyler, Texas in our "forever home.” After living across the U.S. for the last 30 years, we are happy to be back in Texas. I am working as a Senior Consultant with Wilson Perumal & Company helping companies across the globe that are struggling with the level of complexity in today's world and getting them to rethink traditional approaches to strategy and execution. Our third grandchild was born during GEMBA back in 2003, and now we have a total of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; we started very young.

Chris Lamb ’86, MBA ‘97

Some days it feels like I’m trapped in The Matrix, but life is good :). I’ve been having fun working in product management at IBM for various AI and cloud solutions. I’m living 10 miles from Fuqua with my wife, Janet, and very proud of my two sons. One is a freshman at Virginia Tech and the other is a NC State grad starting a career in healthcare.

Mary-Ann Leong MBA ‘10

Just moved to Singapore 1.5 years ago and having been across Asia for the last 15 years. I'd say Singapore is probably the most family friendly of all of them. Since Duke (almost) 10 years ago, I've been running innovation for 5 different companies in 5 different industries—it has been quite a journey!

Rob Walters MBA ‘84

After a 32 year career with ConocoPhillips (primarily in the risk management area), I retired over 3 years ago and settled in to a new career of “grandpa daycare” watching my granddaughter during the work week. My wife and I live in Katy, Texas where we have resided for the past 34 years.
