Happy Birthday!
We asked the alumni below "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...
Patricia Caballero MBA '08
I have been working for almost 10 years at Visa Inc. in its Consulting team, providing advisory services in payments to clients across the Latin America and the Caribbean region.
Addison Carr MBA '24
Hi all! My wife (Marie), daughter (Layla), son (Addison JR.) and of course my Shiba's (Ryan and Yokai), have all settled down in the DC area since graduation and are enjoying it so far! The heart will always be down in the land of the pine though. DDMF
Ekaterina Galieva MBA '19
I’ve been living in New York since graduation, working in the FinTech startup with the purpose of making financial services more accessible to a wider range of customers. One of my favorite things is exploring the city with my classmates. Here’s a photo with my Fuqua classmates from my last birthday - I’m in the middle, wearing a black dress.
Jenny Hayden MBA '06
Brian (Fuqua ’06) and I have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2014. We strive to keep up with our three kids – ages 17, 15, and 12 – and their numerous activities. I was elected to my second four-year term for the Woodside Elementary School Board, where I have also been serving as President for almost three years. In our (minimal) spare time, Brian and I can be found on the golf course, where I am trying to keep sharp as the eight-time women’s club champion at Menlo Country Club. We miss our rounds at the WaDuke!
Ashton Holmes MBA '20
These days I am living in a constant state of "Girl-Dad mode" where it's a given there is either a hair tie or bobby pin in one of my pockets. My wife and I are raising two girls to be their best selves and to learn and feel there is a world of opportunity out there for themselves. In between dad-mode I work at a tech start-up as a service delivery manager helping customers achieve the bang for their buck with our product's platform and services.
Adrian Holmes MBA '18
Adrian is living his best sleep-deprived life, raising a soon to be 1 year old who’s birthday is 2 days after his dads! Aside from planning birthday parties, Adrian is into his 5th year at Deloitte Consulting and continues to improve supply chain outcomes for his clients.
(IN ORDER: Ashton, Adrian, Ashton & Adrian - Twins!)
Chat Joglekar MBA '04
I am currently Co-Founder and CEO at Baton (batonmarket.com), a marketplace for buying and selling small businesses. Think of it like the "Zillow for SMBs"! My wife Nina and our three high school age kids live in NYC and love to travel, here's a picture of us in Slovenia last summer!
Elena Markwalder MBA '10
Since CCMBA, I’ve treated the globe like a to-do list—living in the USA, Europe, Asia, and working across 44 countries (yes, I collect passport stamps like some collect shoes). These days, I gift myself a new country every birthday—because cake tastes better with a change of timezone. As you read this, I’m island-hopping the Seychelles on a 62-foot catamaran with my husband, who’s my favorite travel upgrade. The photo? Last year in Uzbekistan, proving adventure pairs best with good company.
Gal Mordechai MBA '15
We’re currently living in Leipzig, Germany, where my wife, Liraz, is pursuing her PhD. While here, I’m continuing to grow my product management services company, partnering with early-stage startups around the world and building innovative, exciting products. Here we are, soaking in world-class soccer with our new favorite club, RB Leipzig!
James Winder MBA '11
I’ve been working in private equity, started my own firm and recently acquired a Winder Farms which was founded by my great great great grandfather and grandmother in 1880. It’s been outside the family the past two decades and we brought it back into family control recently. It’s the oldest food and beverage company in Utah. I’ve jumped in to run the business full-time as chairman and CEO. We are launching new products, growing online and having a great experience with it so far. Feel free to share - winderfarms.com.
Tianhao Zhang MMS '24
I graduated from Fuqua in May 2024, currently working as a Senior Associate in Investment Banking at a local securities firm in Beijing, China——back home and a world away from my time in Durham, NC. The photo is from a ski trip I took last winter to the French Alps. Even though I’m still grinding through the long hours of IBD, life can still be fantastic, especially when I’m floating through the fresh powder!
