Omar Ishrak has seen people who would traditionally be enemies work together "with no problems at all, absolutely zero issues, as friends, overnight."
All it takes, the Medtronic CEO told Bill Boulding, dean of Duke's Fuqua School of Business, is a common goal.
"When you get rewarded for the same thing, you work with each other," Ishrak said, "and that common goal is what drives this collaboration, independent of who you are."
