Bio

Beverly is President of RedPrompt, LLC, a holding company for companies in various industries, including real estate, marketing and communications, and food service. Most notably, RedPrompt owns franchise locations of the fast-casual restaurant concept Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers (a local affiliate of which opened in Durham in August 2014!). Beverly is responsible for identifying and evaluating potential sites for the expansion of the franchise in her development area (D.C. Metro and Virginia), negotiating the terms of acquisition, selecting and overseeing the development of the property before the store opens for operations, and organizing the financing sources to make the whole business happen.

Before this endeavor, she spent several years doing ad hoc freelance writing and has continued taking leadership roles in community efforts with her undergrad alumni boards, professional boards, and pro-bono consulting for nonprofits in the D.C. area. She's been an active supporter of the local Duke coffee gatherings and is Class Communication Chair for her Daytime MBA '90 class.

After graduating from Fuqua, Beverly joined Ford Motor Company in finance. During her 10-year career at Ford and its then-subsidiary Jaguar Cars, Beverly developed a diverse background in both marketing and finance, as well as positions in information services and operations.

Beverly has a BS in Economics from Penn State and an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business. She lives in Fairfax, Virginia in the D.C. area with her husband, Barry, and twins Benjamin and Bailey.
