Bio

Mo is currently a Director at Kasamar Holdings focusing on the private equity and real estate verticals. Prior to joining Kasamar, Mo was the founder of Odyssey Ventures, raising and managing the first regional search fund that targeted acquiring and operating regional SMEs in need of growth capital.

Mo has spent over 6 years at Gulf Capital, one of the leading mid-market alternative investments firms, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Mo was part of the Private Equity Group, where he focused on identifying, conducting diligence and negotiating acquisition targets, followed by post-acquisition management. Mo led a series of refinancing and dividend recapitalizations of more than 1B USD, took Gulf Marine Services public on the London Stock Exchange, and held observer board and committee seats for portfolio companies.

Prior to his tenure at Gulf Capital, Mo held numerous roles including an associate role at a technology venture capital fund, Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, based in Raleigh, NC. Mo also has experience working in the defense technology sector at Raytheon, as a member of the algorithms team for NATO’s air defense system and as a member of the user interface team for the U.S. Navy’s next generation destroyer.

Mo received his BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine in 2002 and his MBA from Duke University in 2008. Mo is involved with Duke’s recruiting efforts in the Middle East and sits on the Middle East Regional Advisory Board for Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
