Daytime MBA Student Nate Einfeldt

"I entered Fuqua with an interest in health care. Through HSM, club involvement, my internships, and Fuqua connections I was able to learn what positions I want to obtain during my career. Having a clearer path of the opportunities allowed me to focus on specific firms that aligned with my end goal. Fuqua is a great place to test your initial hypothesis of a future career."

Why I Chose Fuqua

I chose Fuqua because of the people and health care opportunities. I enjoyed the nature of the student body which helped create an environment of collaboration and support in academics, the job search, and social life. The ability to meet people before recruiting helped allow for stronger relationships when everyone’s focus shifts to the job search.

The health care opportunities span from the classroom to real world projects. HSM bootcamp provided a strong basis of understanding of the U.S. health care system. In Biotech/Pharma Strategy, the professors were an MD and a former pharma CEO. I was also able to learn from my classmates who had experience in patent law, commercial operations, and wholesale strategy. Lastly, I was able to conduct market sizing for a health tech startup through New Venture Fellows. I was paired with an experienced mentor, and I worked in conjunction with the startup’s CEO to assist driving their company towards commercialization. All these experiences helped me confidently transition from the military to the health care sector.
