Reflections

Fuqua has been a transformative experience for me, bridging Eastern and Western culture while strengthening my strategic perspective in the tech industry.
My background has been deeply valued at Fuqua. I often share insights about Chinese companies and policy differences in class, enriching discussions with a global perspective. During Term 3 Residency, I organized a Lunar New Year celebration that attracted over 200 attendees, which reflected Fuqua’s inclusive spirit, bringing together people from different backgrounds to appreciate one another’s culture. Many classmates were amazed by the traditional Chinese dance performance.

The program has had a profound impact on both my personal and professional growth. Completing a rigorous academic program while managing a full-time leadership role has enhanced my confidence, adaptability, and executive presence. I have immediately applied classroom lessons in finance, strategy, and decision modeling to my work at Lenovo, strengthening my ability to address complex business challenges and lead cross-functional initiatives with greater structure and impact.

Before Fuqua

As a Strategic Business Transformation leader at Lenovo’s Cloud Service Provider segment, I drive cross-functional, end-to-end collaboration to deliver customer-oriented solutions and enable the business to achieve revenue and profit growth through operational excellence and transformation initiatives.

After Fuqua

I aim to transition into a broader strategic leadership role that bridges business transformation and AI-driven innovation. Building on my experience in leading global operations, transformation, and technology initiatives, my goal is to drive enterprise-wide strategies that enhance operational excellence, accelerate sustainable growth, and create long-term value for both business and society. Fuqua’s Executive MBA has empowered me with strategic insight, leadership capability, and a global network, providing the foundation to lead with purpose and impact in an era of AI-driven transformation.

5 Tips for Working in Teams

  1. Communicate with Clarity and Respect
Be transparent and thoughtful when expressing ideas, feedback, and concerns. Clear and respectful communication builds trust and strengthens collaboration.

  2. Seek Alignment
Focus on shared goals and collective outcomes. When differences arise, look for alignment rather than insisting on being right.

  3. Engage Actively
Be fully present in discussions and decisions. Active engagement demonstrates ownership.

  4. Embrace Differences
Respect different perspectives, backgrounds, and work styles. Diversity sparks creativity and innovation when approached with an open and curious mind.

  5. Establish Team Norms Early
Define clear expectations on roles, communication, and accountability from the start.
