Selection Criteria

A good match is important from both sides—yours and ours—so we take a holistic approach to considering your candidacy. Each of the components of your application gives you the chance to demonstrate your strengths and fit with Fuqua. You’ll be considered a strong applicant if:

  • We’re confident you will be successful in our program
  • You’ll add value to Fuqua and your peers through your professional, personal, and academic experiences
  • You believe diversity in thought and background are important within your professional life and community
  • You demonstrate competence, character, and purpose and have the strongest potential to be a leader who is a positive force for change

Although not required for admission, your prior work experience helps us understand how you’ve developed, on both a professional and personal level.

  • There is no minimum work experience required for this program
  • Any paid or unpaid work experience will be considered, including volunteer, part-time work, and internships
  • In your application, show us how your work experience has helped you mature, gain leadership and teamwork skills, and how it will help you be an active contributor in the online Fuqua learning environment

Fuqua admits candidates to the MSQM: Health Analytics program who demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills and who are prepared to excel in a demanding, fast-paced academic environment. We admit applicants with:

  • An undergraduate degree from a 4-year accredited college or university
  • A wide range of GPAs and academic and professional backgrounds

Because the MSQM: Health Analytics academic environment is demanding and requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, the admissions committee looks closely at indicators of your readiness for this work. This can include your performance in quantitative undergraduate coursework, the rigor and context of your academic preparation, and your professional experience, including the types of analytical or data-driven work you have been exposed to.

Standardized test scores are not required for MSQM: Health Analytics. If you choose to submit a GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment score, it will be considered as one additional data point within our holistic review.

Your application essays, recommendation, resume, and interview are what weave fit, passion, and impact together into your story. No one part is more important than the other, so give each one your best. And most importantly, just be you.

CV or Resume:

You must include a current business resume or CV. Start with your current position, and include any relevant volunteer work. Please make sure the experience and education sections list dates (month/year).

Essay:

Your essay lets you share your perspective and help us understand what drives and inspires you, personally and at work. Use your essay to fill in any gaps or provide extra details on key areas of your application.

Recommendation:

One letter of recommendation is required for the application and should be from someone who knows your professional skills and abilities. Prepare your recommender to showcase parts of you that are not reflected in other areas of your application.

Proprietors or principals of a company can ask a client, board member, or other professional colleague to write a recommendation.

Interview:

You can schedule an interview once you begin the application process. All interviews are conducted in a virtual setting with a member of our admissions team and are required before your application can be completed. During the interview, our team will ask about your work experience, educational background, and personal interests, and you will have time at the end to ask your own questions.

During your interview, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Share your communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discuss your educational background and personal interests
  • Reflect on how Fuqua may be a strong fit for your goals
