Happy Birthday!
We asked the alumni below, celebrating a birthday today, February 18, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...
Ashwin Bajaj MBA ‘05
After spending about 5 years in New York post graduation, my wife Shikha and I moved back to Mumbai, along with our twin girls, Tanisha and Trisha. I have been doing investor relations, corporate finance, and corporate communications focused on the metals and mining and energy sectors over the last decade. ESG/ Sustainability has also become a big focus area over the last few years. My work has involved a fair bit of traveling to the major financial centers of the world to meet institutional investors, though the last one year has of course been all virtual meetings. We have been enjoying living in Mumbai since we moved back, and our girls are now 14 years old. We are all looking forward to life returning to normal, hopefully soon in the next few months!

I have moved several times since Fuqua. First, I went back to the Silicon Valley and lived in San Francisco where I thoroughly enjoyed the culture and weather. Then, I moved to South Korea as an expat for 7 years. That was an incredible experience professionally and personally. During that time, my wife gave birth to 3 amazing children and I got to experience the “world” as I went through two passports. I moved back to the States in late 2016 and settled in Harrington Park, New Jersey, in the very north east part of the state. While I continue to learn and seek challenges, I recently began serving as a Trustee in the local school Board of Education. Just like most of you, the new normal allowed for some reflection. I now try to enjoy every minute and be grateful for all the blessings.

I’m living in Westport, CT, with my wife, 2 kids, and 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs. I’m working at the National Football League as Senior Vice President, Media Strategy & Business Development. In this role, I oversee the NFL's business deals in the media and technology space and the League's strategic investments. My career path began when I was admitted to Fuqua as a member of the class of 2004. Very grateful, but alas now I am also old...
Dave Nakashian MBA ‘06
Since graduating from Fuqua, I spent 9 amazing years at Deloitte Consulting before joining David Yurman as the Head of Strategy. After 3 years, I pursued an exciting opportunity to join a leading PE backed retail/consumer services company. Most recently, we decided to move from NYC to New Jersey. While we certainly miss many aspects of the city, we are thoroughly enjoying the much-needed space for us and our two kids, James (4) and Chloe (1).
Jamie Xia MBA ‘15
After almost 6 years in San Francisco, I moved down to the peninsula with my husband last month. We are enjoying more space and being closer to all the hiking routes. We do miss SF, and we just went back to celebrate the Lunar New Year with Aaron and Rachel Joachim (Class of 2016 and 2017) last week! I recently switched jobs from Facebook to Tiktok, helping with their monetization strategy. In 2021, I look forward to continuing my virtual catch-ups with friends and family and can't wait for COVID to be over so that we can meet in person again.
