We asked the alumni below, celebrating a birthday today, May 20, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...

Camila Cembrano MBA ‘16

Since graduation I've been living in my hometown, Santiago in Chile, working at Mercado Libre (the LatAm Amazon) for four and a half years. Now, I’m in charge of the marketing department for Chile, Perú, and Uruguay as Senior Marketing Manager, leading the teams in each country and developing the marketing strategy for every business unit and brand within the company: Marketplace, Mercado Pago, and Classifieds (Real Estate, Motors and Services). I'm also living the biggest challenge in my life, as my first child was born two months ago. :)

Andrew Del Gaizo MBA ‘14

After a brief stint in reality TV, my family and I decided to List It and relocated to a new home just minutes from Fuqua. My free time is spent teaching artificial intelligence algorithms the art of x-ray vision (I, for one, welcome our new computer overlords) and preparing the sequel to my book, The Foreign Body.

Elisabeth Meinert DelGrosso MBA ‘15

I’m based in the greater Princeton area of NJ with my husband, Chris, and almost 2-year-old son Jack. I am the Vice President of Strategy for a subsidiary of Cigna where I work with a bunch of (and am trying to recruit more!) Fuquans. :)

Sarah Feagles-Lesser MBA ‘14

I am the Lancaster, PA, Market President for BB&T, now Truist, which means I am responsible for our Commercial Banking Team and helping local middle market clients access the capital they need to grow. My 1-year anniversary with Truist is coming up in July and shortly after that, my husband, Chris (Fuqua ‘14), and I will be welcoming a new baby girl to our family. She’ll join her sister Anna in adding more fun and chaos to our lives! Wishing everyone a fabulous summer!

Brennan Fitzpatrick MBA ‘08

I am a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist and the Chief Medical Officer of The Women’s Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. My wife, Karen Canlas, is a Duke-trained gastroenterologist who has worked tirelessly to promote colon cancer awareness in our region. We are raising two amazing boys, Elliott (11) and William (9), who love stocking up on Duke gear when we come through Durham every summer on our way to Bald Head Island, NC. Karen and I wish all of our fellow Duke Alumni safe passage through these challenging times as we eagerly anticipate brighter days ahead.

Natasha Gordon MBA ‘20

Hi, Team Fuqua, and happy birthday to the other May 20 babies! Since graduating in May, I've relocated to Seattle and started working at Accenture Strategy. I've been enjoying West Coast life, spending free time in nature, and hanging out with other Fuquans in the area (including my C-Lead team...4/7 of us are out here now!). Hope you all are doing well and hope to see you soon.

Victor Hatala MHA ‘77

For the past twenty-five years I have resided in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with my wife, Slava. Our eldest son is Captain in the Ranger Regiment of the U.S. Army and is based in Georgia. Our younger son works in Manhattan and resides in Hoboken located across the Hudson River. At present, I am Executive Director of Deborah Specialty Physicians, a cardiovascular specialty medical practice with locations across New Jersey, which is associated with Deborah Heart and Lung Center.

Kevin Hayes MBA ‘88, PhD ‘92

My wife, Darlene Monteiro, and I continue to operate VAC / Valve Amplification Company, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of high-end audio electronics located in Sarasota, Florida. Thank God business and health held up very well during the pandemic, and things look bright for our company's fourth decade! Wishing the best to all my fellow alumni.

Mariel Lambrukos MBA ’20

Since graduating from Fuqua last year, I moved to Cambridge, MA, where I have been dining outdoors, learning how to golf, visiting art museums, and running around the Charles River in my spare (Covid) time. I am a Manager in Sanofi Genzyme’s Commercial Leadership Development Program where I have completed roles in pricing and marketing for specialty care pharmaceutical products, and have learned so much while receiving the opportunity to help patients and healthcare providers. I’m looking forward to an upcoming trip back to Durham, where I’m excited to golf at the Washington Duke and eat some Q Shack BBQ!

Frank MacMillan MBA ‘87

I am in Hawaii with my online flower, lei, and gift company With Our Aloha. I am still an active ultramarathon runner and I study Chinese and Japanese at UH on the weekends. Please come visit; Hawaii is open again.

Tarun Mathur MBA ‘16

2021 has very fortunately been safe, healthy, and eventful for me. After 4+ years at McKinsey & Company, I just joined an amazing strategy team at Google that explores what's next for all of its platforms and ecosystems—Android, Play, Chrome and others. My wife and I also became first-time homeowners (in Millbrae, CA) as well as parents to a delightful Goldendoodle puppy. At the same time, it's been tough to balance these blessings with a fear for friends and family, especially those in India, who have all battled this pandemic in their own courageous ways. I'm looking forward to us all emerging from this stronger and celebrating together on the other side.

Max Meyer MMS ‘20

After graduating from Fuqua I moved back to Germany and started my career at Amazon as part of the pathways program. It’s a really fast paced environment, which offers a lot of responsibility for young professionals. The highlight of 2021 will be a wedding weekend in India, as two of my friends from Fuqua will get married and invited the whole team. Let’s go Team Fuqua!!!

Somya Qureshi MBA ‘07

I’m living it up in Winston-Salem, NC, with my husband and fellow Fuqua grad, Fayaz Qureshi, and our 8-year-old daughter, Zara. I currently work in brand strategy and marketing at RJ Reynolds and am loving it! Since graduation, I have worked in various industries and functions across different countries but somehow ended up in the realm of marketing, which I still find fascinating. I went plant-based in 2015, completely vegan in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, and continue to reap the benefits of living a healthy, balanced, and compassionate life while inspiring others on the way. Wishing all May babies, inherent rock stars, a fantastic birthday and year ahead!

Steve Stricklin MBA ‘99

After many years as a Director - Operations for a large U.S. airline, I am currently a Principal Consultant at Sabre Corporation, which is a leading software technology provider to the global travel industry. My role is working with Sabre's global airline customers in operations strategy and software implementation.  I truly enjoy engaging with airlines around the world in solving real, complex issues and doing so under an always varying mix of cultural influences. The global travel experiences (pre-COVID) are the best part of the work. I look forward to once again visiting our clients in-person as conditions in different regions of the world return to the "new-normal." My wife, Robin, and I live in the Atlanta area and enjoy every day that's given to us. Wishing all of the Fuqua nation a safe and happy summer!

Gregory Theus MBA ‘83

I retired in 2002 after 31 years with GTE and Verizon. My wife, Dorothea, and I live in Colleville, TX, and enjoy photography, hiking, and traveling. We have a wonderful daughter, son-in-law, and 2-year-old grandson who live in Castle Rock, CO, and whom we enjoy visiting.

Bernardo Urdaneta MBA ‘13

After living in Buenos Aires for two years—where I made my first foray into renewable energy, completed two Ironman 70.3 races, and (most importantly!) met and married my wife—I recently relocated to Asheville to start a job in Business Development at Cypress Creek Renewables. My wife and I are very much enjoying life in Asheville and are often in awe with the beautiful landscapes across Western North Carolina. I look forward to reconnecting with other Fuquans in North Carolina sometime soon.
