Happy birthday!

We asked the alumni below, celebrating a birthday today, August 24, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...

 

Chad & Catherine Harrell MBA '07
We live in Raleigh, NC with our three kids: William (14), Eliza (10), and Emma (10). August is a special month for us as we are celebrating our birthdays and 22nd anniversary this year. We love to travel, and recently went to Europe and hiked the Swiss Alps. Catherine is CMO at Bitsight, a cyber risk management company, and I own a real estate development company with a fellow MBA ’07 grad, Jeff Gore. LGD!

Cory Kampfer JD '04, MBA '05
Hi Team Fuqua! Gina Spotz Kampfer (also MBA '05) and I live in Denver with our two kids, Andrew and Alexis. Gina leads a marketing team at a biopharma, Sobi, and I'm president of a fintech, OnDeck. I'm also proud to be the Fuqua rep on the Duke Colorado board. This is a picture of us on a volcano in Hawaii. We both miss Durham and fun-filled days at the WaDuke!

Carla Martinez MBA '23
Since I just graduated from the MBA program last May, I spent the summer traveling around, and even did a road trip from North Carolina all the way down to Queretaro, my hometown in Mexico. I'm very excited that I just started a new job on August 15th as managing consultant at Horváth and Partners.

Jonathon Morgan MBA '19
Where are you now? We’ve moved twice since graduating from Fuqua - we’re now living in the Washington, D.C. area. I’m an Army officer and work as an assistant product manager, managing two separate Army acquisitions/product development teams that conduct R&D and prototyping in support of the U.S. DoD and the intelligence community. Our family is loving life in the area and enjoying all that it has to offer!

Tariq Omar MBA '10
Since graduating from Fuqua, we’ve been living in Seattle, my hometown, spending as much time as possible being outside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, in between that pesky thing called work. Professionally, I’m currently on the Business and Corporate Development team at Amazon, focused on doing strategic deals for our AWS division, and I have the pleasure of working with several great Duke alums on the team, including friend and Fuqua classmate Sarah (Johnston) Groom MBA '10.

Living by the beach in Los Angeles, coaching, consulting, and enjoying life! This summer, I was on Uncle Duty, spent a 15-hour day at Disneyland and California Adventure with my visiting niece and nephew from Texas.

Hello from Boston! My wife, Jenny, and I enjoy going on pup-ventures with our puppy Tatum (yes, named after the Duke basketball player!). Currently, I work on behavioral health strategy for UnitedHealth Group.
