Happy Birthday!
We asked the alumni below, celebrating a birthday today, March 16, "Where are you now?" Here's what they said...
Aravind Chandrashekar MD '07, MBA '08
After leaving Fuqua, I spent the next seven years in residency and fellowship in Houston, TX, where I met my wife. We now live with our two sons in Riverside, CA, where I am a urologist practicing at Kaiser Permanente, not too far from where I grew up in Indian Wells.
Andres Cueva MBA '07
I have been working in finance/banking since 1996 and graduated from Fuqua in 2007. During my entrepreneurship class at Fuqua, I started to work on a business plan for a microlending project that I had in mind at that time. After graduating from Fuqua, I decided to start the project, quit banking, and founded a microlending company in Mexico (Attendo). Last year we celebrated our 15th anniversary. We are currently a team of more than 800 employees and serve more than 100,000 customers across Mexico.

Hi, Team Fuqua! My family and I live in northern New Jersey, roughly 15 minutes away from where I was raised; it is great to be “home,” surrounded by family and friends. My free time is occupied with activities for the kids, but I wouldn’t want it any other way; life is good. After spending nearly a decade working in U.S. and global commercial roles in large and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies, I recently transitioned to a biotechnology startup company focused on improving chronic kidney disease management. I was ready for a change (and a challenge), and I am very much enjoying the experience so far. I am grateful to be a part of this fantastic community, and I look forward to connecting with fellow Fuqua graduates near and far!
Chris Komelasky MBA '09
After years in consulting and the pharma/CRO space, I'm back in NC on the wrong side of town (Chapel Hill), having launched SiteBridge Research to help community-based physicians and patients in more diverse and underserved communities take part in clinical trials. When not trying to change the US healthcare landscape, I'm usually running around lacrosse fields, swimming pools or outdoors with my family.
Keerthi Ramesh MMS '22
After graduating in 2022, I have been navigating my way through the sports industry. Currently, I’m back home in Dallas, and working for a basketball analytics start-up company.
Cydney Ross '12, MMS '13
In January 2023, I started my fifth year of living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I currently manage one of the biggest marketing agencies in the country. And in addition to running the agency, I'm also a yoga teacher!
Ben Thomason MBA '04
After nine years in Charlotte, my family and I have returned to the Triangle where I now work at Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship with a focus on private equity and venture capital education. My wife, Jennifer, and two daughters, Addie and EJ, enjoy living close to the school and participating in many things the campus offers, including the Al Buehler trail, and our favorite, Cameron Indoor (when we can get in)! Let’s go Duke!
Linh Tran '99, MBA '06
After realizing I was unemployable, I took the plunge and acquired my first company in 2012, and now enjoy investing in and scaling various companies. I live in Atlanta with my wife and two daughters, and I enjoy racing cars and boats, flying planes, and discussing The Karate Kid on a 17-year-old text/email string with Fuqua classmates.
Vincent Wang MBA '18
I currently live in the SF Bay Area with my fiancé, who's also a 2018 Fuqua graduate. I work at Electronic Arts as a senior brand manager for the Dead Space franchise, and we just launched our newest game earlier this year!
